After a month of having the domain for this blog set up by Philip, I have finally got around to using it (much to Philip’s amusement). My reasons for resisting until now – too busy at work and too busy planning a house-move (not to mention too scared, as I’ve never done this blogging thing before!)
It’s chaos in our house at the moment; packing boxes everywhere. We move on Friday into our new house, affectionately named CrunchBang Towers by Fabsh of Linux Outlaws during an interview with Philip and I last month. Philip is already panicking about broadband being switched off before he backs up the servers, and has grand plans for wirelessly networking our new house with Ethernet-over-Power (Thanks for the tip, Daviey!) We’ve not even moved in yet and he wants to start drilling holes in walls – yikes!
We have also just returned from a fantastic weekend attending OggCamp 2010 held in Liverpool – a dedicated blog post will follow shortly.
That’s all for now folks! More packing to do.

My wife has a blog, I am so proud!
Personally I’m just looking forward to the warts & all part!
Looking forward to reading more =)
WOOT! Welcome to world of blogging Bobobex !
Good luck with the house move, powerline network, holes n stuff
Love the theme by the way, simple but elegant, and strangely calming. I shall come here to relax lol!

Can we stick you in the planet openbox feed ?
Sure you can, that would be cool but I hope you realise that this is a personal blog where I talk about life in general rather than specifically about Linux/Openbox.
Good luck with the move and your new blog!
P.S. The wireless networking is essential and should be done before the food is put away but after the coffee maker is set up!
Excellent – hope you have fun with your blog! It was a blast seeing you and Philip at OggCamp (thanks again for the mint), and it’s excellent to know I’ll be able to keep up with the both of you in-between visits.
P.S: Most planets are usually about the community members’ lives, not just the techy geekery stuff. I’m sure your blog would fit nicely!
It was lovely to meet you too, Jake. See you next year at OggCamp we hope.
Welcome to blogging! And I do realize you are not going to blog about Openbox, and I think it’s not problem.
