Tomorrow is the BIG day!
Not only will we see whether the UK will get a new government and Prime Minister, but it’s also the day Philip and I say “goodbye” to rented accommodation and “hello” to a 25 year mortgage. We must be mad!
As we will have such a long, busy day ahead of us tomorrow, we offered Emma, our daughter, the option of skipping school and helping us move instead. “Fancy a day off school tomorrow to help us move, Emma” says Philip.
“No chance, I don’t want to miss German, plus I will just get in your way” replies Emma!
OMG, when did she grow-up and get all sensible and responsible? At her age I was wagging school at any opportunity (I never went to geography for 3 months!). Philip was just dumb-struck by her response. I think we both expected her to say yes – parents are supposed to know their kids, aren’t they?!
It seems that change is definitely in the air, and I for one can’t wait. Tomorrow is the start of a new adventure – bring it on!

I don’t know I kinda might have chosen school too, way easier than helping with move and cleaning. But yeah that would have been completely selfish decision.
And good luck with moving.
Hmm, you could be right. Emma doesn’t do cleaning – ever!
Kids have a way of catching you off guard a lot! I’m pretty sure our 18 year old is going on 45 – wait until you start to get lectures on eating properly and stuff like that
We already get moaned at for smoking – in the garden!
