Nervous excitement abounds

Tomorrow is the BIG day!

Not only will we see whether the UK will get a new government and Prime Minister, but it’s also the day Philip and I say “goodbye” to rented accommodation and “hello” to a 25 year mortgage.  We must be mad!

As we will have such a long, busy day ahead of us tomorrow, we offered Emma, our daughter, the option of skipping school and helping us move instead.  “Fancy a day off school tomorrow to help us move, Emma” says Philip.

“No chance, I don’t want to miss German, plus I will just get in your way” replies Emma!

OMG, when did she grow-up and get all sensible and responsible?  At her age I was wagging school at any opportunity (I never went to geography for 3 months!).  Philip was just dumb-struck by her response. I think we both expected her to say yes – parents are supposed to know their kids, aren’t they?!

It seems that change is definitely in the air, and I for one can’t wait.  Tomorrow is the start of a new adventure – bring it on!

I don’t know I kinda might have chosen school too, way easier than helping with move and cleaning. But yeah that would have been completely selfish decision. :P And good luck with moving. :)

Kids have a way of catching you off guard a lot! I’m pretty sure our 18 year old is going on 45 – wait until you start to get lectures on eating properly and stuff like that :-D
