Greetings from another Lincoln LUG.

http://sites.google.com/site/lincolnlug/

Our group it on a temp hold due to lack of local interest.

Thought you might like to know there is another Lincoln in the states over 6K miles from you.

@Darrin, the version of CrunchBang that I took along to the LUG meeting was a test build of the latest release. I think the "steam powered laptop" was an old 386 machine with about 100MB of RAM. I installed the CrunchBang image successfully, but I am not sure that it was overly usable. DSL, Puppy or Tiny Core would have been better suited.

Hi Bobex, I was wondering if Philip might have an ISO of the version of #! that he used to install on the old steam-powered lappie that he wouldn't mind sharing? I've got some old machines that were somewhat able to run the first generation of #! but later versions don't work so well. Been using DamnSmallLinux on those machines, but if there is a light version of #! that would run on these old machines, I'd be psyched to try it out. Thanks!

It was good. I am looking forward to the next one. Perhaps I'll bring extra sockets next time too :-)

You have Linux Format to thank for me finding you BTW, you have a nice bit of blurb on the LUG page along with a pic.

See you next week!

Oh joy!

I approve of pink, being a girly geek an' all.

Also, deep joy, at last a LUG that is local(ish) for me. I always thought I was the only Linux user in the village (and actually probably still am) but it is great to know you are out there.

Wednesdays are difficult for me, but I'm going to see if I can get to the next one.
